"A Grand Spring" by artist Kevin Barton was selected as first place winner of the 62nd annual Mackinac Island Lilac Festival art poster.
In addition to being the official art poster for the annual Lilac Festival, Barton's painting will also grace Black Star Farms "A Taste of Mackinac" sparkling wine, created especially by the Michigan winery to commemorate the 25th anniversary of "A Taste of Mackinac," the festival's signature culinary event.
A reception will be held to honor those who participated in the juried competition at Victorian Summer Gallery, 7587 Market Street, Mackinac Island, on Saturday, June 11th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The poster will be available at the gallery and Kevin will be there to sign posters during this time.
Monday, June 13th, (weather permitting), from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Kevin will be painting outside in front of the gallery, so please plan to stop by!
